Flow between two unsteadily rotating disks

Summary

This is a theoretical investigation of the unsteady laminar flow of a viscous incompressible fluid between two infinite parallel disks, which are rotating with angular velocities varying with time. The solution is obtained in the form of a series expansion about the quasi-steady state. The deviation of the actual instantaneous state of the flow from the quasi-steady state is determined.
