Summary

The author, a psychiatrist and sexologist, gives an up-to-date review of the causation and management of erectile disorders. A classification of the various subtypes is presented. Both the general psychological approach and the modern sex therapies are briefly described. The psychological and sexological aspects of the implantation of an erectile prosthesis are discussed.
