Deposition chemistry determined via sulfur and iron as indicators

Sulfur and Fe are easily determined in deposition water samples by means of simple and inexpensive methods. These two elements can be used as indicators to assess a general status of deposition at semi-remote to remote sites, because there exist quantitative correlations between the deposition rates of these elements and of, e.g., Ce, Co, Cr, Cs, La, Rb, Se, ...
