Summary
A fungus, Robillarda, sp. Y-20, which produces mainly, β-1,4-glucan glucanohydrolase (Cx-enzyme) in the culture filtrate, was isolated from soil. The specific activity of the Cx-enzyme was up to 4.9 times higher than that of Trichoderma reesei QM 9414.
