Bilateral isolated upper eyelid coloboma — an infrequent entity with rare clinical presentation

Summary

A three-week-old infant was referred to our department with bilateral isolated upper eyelid coloboma. These lid defects were central in position. Because of an exposed cornea, he was operated on immediately, closure being effected using the medial upper eyelid tissue.
