A Review

Abstract

The presentations and discussions which took place during the second meeting of the Solar Cycle Workshop are summarized under the headings: sunspot minimum, the extended cycle, the large-scale photospheric motions, the large-scale magnetic fields and the polar reversal, the small-scale fields, global cyclic phenomena and the fundamental processes. The progress achieved so far is assessed and the directions for future observational and theoretical work are suggested.
