Boron uptake in sunflower, squash and cultured tobacco cells: Studies with stable isotope and ICP-MS

Abstract

Boron uptake was studied with the use of stable B isotope and ICP-MS. Plant responses to changes in B concentration or temperature as well as respiratory inhibitors all suggest that B uptake is a passive, non-metabolic process.
