Development of acousto-optic devices based on transformation of acoustic waves

Abstract

One of practical methods for generating shear waves in paratellurite crystals has been investigated. Slow shear waves are excited during transformation of longitudinal modes into shear ones, which occurs during acoustic reflection from a crystal-vacuum free interface.
