State Industrial Policy and the Machine-Tool Industry

Abstract

In the present work, the machine-tool industry is defined in terms of its function, and its composition is established. The current state of the industry and of the Russian market for machine tools is analyzed. That analysis shows that today, along with the production of machines and tools, the machine-tool industry also includes the production of numerical control systems and management systems for industrial processes and enterprises.
