Abstract
A model is proposed for the formation of surface relief in strip milling. The recommended procedure is to select the milling conditions on the basis of a regression equation expressing the final surface relief as a function of those conditions. Regulation of the milling conditions in terms of tool wear improves the mill life and productivity.
