Abstract
The influence of the abrasive-finishing parameters on the angular velocity of the part over the surface of the tool is investigated for lapping machines with a raster tool trajectory, where the frictional interaction between the lap and the part is utilized. It is established that the factors with the greatest effect on the angle and angular velocity in lapping are the force holding the lap against the part, the grain size of the abrasive, and the lapping method.
