Nonlinear Deformations and Nonlinear Waves on Charged Surfaces of Cylindrical Jets

Abstract

Theoretical results of investigating the influence of the electric field on cylindrical jets of a liquid dielectric with fast charge relaxation to a weakly nonlinear approximation are presented. It is shown that on free interfaces local and periodically nonlinear deformations and nonlinear waves can be formed. The behavior of the free surfaces of the jets under the changing electric field intensity is investigated.
