Photon Distribution Function in Weakly Coupled Maxwellian Plasma

Abstract

It is shown that the photon distribution for fully ionized plasma with weak interparticle interaction asymptotically corresponds to the Planck distribution at small photon momenta k. The number of photons decreases with increasing k in comparison with the Planck distribution. Calculation of the asymptotics for large k requires consideration of the interaction effects.
