Abstract
Radiocesium is used to determine the age and rate of sedimentation in three columns of bottom sediments from St. Petersburg’s rivers. Pronounced maxima of specific activity are identified in the cross sections of the sediments. Results are used to estimate the average rates of sedimentation for the postwar period.
