Three-Dimensional Mathieu and Bessel Pulses in an Array of Impurity Carbon Nanotubes

  • Published:
Bulletin of the Russian Academy of Sciences: Physics Aims and scope

Abstract

An investigation is performed of the propagation of three-dimensional pulses with Mathieu and Bessel cross sections inside an array of semiconducting carbon nanotubes with impurities. Maxwell’s equations are used to obtain an effective equation for the vector potential of the electromagnetic field. An analysis is performed of the dependence of the shape of a pulse on the parameters of impurities and the Mathieu and Bessel functions.
