Relativistic Mean-Field Effective Nucleon–Nucleon Forces in the Dynamic Modeling of Heavy Ion Fusion

  • Published:
Bulletin of the Russian Academy of Sciences: Physics Aims and scope

Abstract

High-precision experimental cross sections for the fusion of spherical nuclei are analyzed quantitatively using the effective interaction obtained with the relativistic mean field theory. Coulomb barriers are formed only for two of the four considered sets of parameters. Fusion cross sections calculated with one of these sets are in good agreement with experimental data.
