Temperature Dependence of Singlet Oxygen Generation for Different Photosensitizers

  • Published:
Bulletin of the Russian Academy of Sciences: Physics Aims and scope

Abstract

The temperature dependences of the lifetimes and the efficiencies of singlet oxygen generation has been recorded for a set of compounds (e.g., porphyrins, metalloporphyrins, porphycene, perrylene, and terrylene). Based on the behavior of the above mentioned temperature dependences, the chance of creation of oxygen complexes with metalloporphyrins and porphycene in the ground electronic state in a wide range of temperatures was postulated.
