Abstract
Theoretical approaches to describing the energy spectrum, magnetic dynamics, and Mössbauer spectra of antiferromagnetic and ferrimagnetic nanoparticles are discussed. Many of the qualitative effects observed experimentally for almost half a century can be explained in terms of these approaches, and a qualitative description of these data for different magnetic nanomaterials can be given.
