Abstract

The present study is based on oribatid mite material (Acari: Oribatida) collected from Thailand in 2007. A list of identified taxa, including 18 species from 13 genera and nine families, is presented; from these 14 species, seven genera and two families are registered in this country for the first time. One new species of the genus Pergalumna (Galumnidae) is described; Pergalumna thailandensis sp. n. differs from P. parapassimpunctata, P. paratsurusakii and P. storkani by the number of notogastral porose areas, length of interlamellar and adanal setae and morphology of rostrum.
