Abstract

Cardiovascular diseases are the leading cause of death, prevailing in old age. It is necessary to quickly assess the work of the cardiovascular system in the practice of a clinician, especially at the outpatient stage. There are a number of indices and coefficients that can be calculated on the basis of a general examination (without financial costs), namely, the Kerdo index, the Robinson index, pulse pressure, endurance coefficient, adaptive potential according to Baevsky, the actual index of blood supply, type of blood flow autoregulation, stroke volume of the heart, index of blood flow efficiency, physical well-being, and the Hildebrandt index. The article provides formulas, their explanation, and possible interpretation of the results of cardiorespiratory indices.
