Abstract

It is shown that the development of chemical engineering equipment protection of a modern petroleum refinery depends on its deep integration into the main petroleum refining processes. This work reviews perspectives of the development of innovative chemical engineering protection, i.e., the following engineering aspects: an effective mass transfer of reagents in the process media, a reliable monitoring and effective control of the chemical engineering protection, and a correlation of chemical engineering protection parameters with regulated quality parameters of the petroleum products, as well as phenomenological aspects related to the development of future requirements for the chemical engineering protection, taking into account the interaction with the process medium, and the flow of some anomalous processes.
