Thermoplastic-Based Binders for Polymer-Composite Materials (Literature Review)

  • Published:
Polymer Science, Series D Aims and scope Submit manuscript

Abstract

The properties of thermoplastic binders used in the composition of polymer-composite materials have been considered. We have shown that polyethylene, polypropylene, polystyrene, polyvinyl chloride, polytetrafluoroethylene, polyethylene terephthalate, polyethylene oxide, polyphenylene sulfide, polyamides, and polyimides can be used as a binder base. The properties of binders based on thermoplastic and thermosetting matrices have been compared.
