Abstract

The dependence of the hardness of epoxy–sand composite on the amount and dispersion of its sand component is studied. The effect of the hardness of the composite on its abrasive wear resistance is studied. It is shown that the wear resistance of the composite decreases with an increase in its hardness; i.e., this dependence is not linear and does not correspond to conventional considerations.
