Evaluation of the surface free energy of disperse additives for polymeric compositions under selective wetting conditions

  • Published:
Polymer Science Series D Aims and scope Submit manuscript

Abstract

An original procedure to determine the surface energy characteristics of various disperse modifiers used in polymer compositions based on the selective wetting of powders with test liquids and neutral hydrocarbon is proposed. Surface free energy and its components, as well as acidic and basic parameters for a number of polymer additives, are evaluated.
