Abstract

A mathematical model is proposed for analyzing the propagation of a gasless combustion wave along the contact boundary of condensed layers, taking into account the melting and crystallization of the layers. The effect of the diffusive mixing of chemically active reagents, layer thicknesses, and heat losses on the propagation and structure of the combustion front is studied. Self-oscillating wave propagation in a two-layer system along the contact boundary is analyzed.
