Abstract

We have made theoretical investigations on the structure of high spin states of 80Kr within the framework of cranked Hartree-Fock-Bogoliubov (CHFB) theory employing a pairing + quadrupole + hexadecapole model interaction. Dependence of shape with the spin, g-factor, alignment of proton as well as neutron 0g 9/2 orbital along with backbending phenomenon are investigated upto a high spin J = 24. We found excellent agreement with the experimental values and other theoretical calculations.
