Abstract

Several novel Schiff base macrocyclic compounds containing triazine were synthesized from cyanuric chloride, diethylamine, p-nitrophenol, p-phthalaldehyde, m-phthalaldehyde, and o-phthalaldehyde. Triazine macrocycles were synthesized using the high dilution method and their structures were elucidated by IR, NMR and electrospray ionization-mass spectrometry (ESI-MS).
