Abstract—In this work, based on the previous analytical studies of the stability of heavy stratified geosystems, a method of numerical analysis is proposed and calculations performed that allow to evaluate the effect of shear stiffness and bulk elastic modulus on the stability and instability of real geomasses composed of solid elastic geomaterials. The results of the work can be used to find the critical values of stiffness parameters in the case of their decreasing in some geophysical processes and to refine and correct the data on densities and stiffness parameters of geomasses from the stability standpoint.
