Abstract
A two-dimensional problem of plane wave diffraction in the optical band by two silver ribbons with elliptical cross-section is considered. The scattering and absorption spectra are calculated by rigorous numerical methods. Two variants of the relative position of the ribbons are considered. The influence of the distance between the ribbons on the form of the resonance response of the system is studied.
