Abstract
The problem of elastic wave reflection from the free surface of a body has been solved and analytical expressions describing deformations of this surface have been derived. Using the obtained coefficients of wave reflection, expressions for various modes of surface deformation and rotation as dependent on the angle of incidence of the primary wave and on the elastic properties of the medium have been found. Peculiarities of the free surface deformation under the action of incident longitudinal and transverse waves are considered.
