Initiation of layered high-energy material compositions by nanosecond high-current electron beams

Abstract

We present the results of experiments on the initiation of ignition by high-current electron beams of nanosecond duration in high-energy compositions representing layers based on potassium picrate and red lead. Successful initiation of the compositions containing potassium picrate has been achieved for the first time.
