Abstract
The anisotropic collective flow is one of the important observables sensitive to the transport properties of strongly interacting matter created in relativistic heavy-ion collisions. The performance of the multi-purpose detector (MPD) at NICA collider for elliptic flow measurements of identified charged pions, protons, \(K_{s}^{0}\) and \(\Lambda \) particles is studied with Monte Carlo simulations using collisions of Au + Au ions employing the UrQMD event generator. Different methods for flow measurements: event plane and direct cumulants are used to investigate the contribution of non-flow correlations and flow fluctuations.
