Abstract
The first observation of two excited states of the \(B^{+}_{c}\) is presented together with the measurements of the \(B_{c}(2S)^{+}\) mass and the mass difference \(M(B_{c}^{\ast+})-M(B_{c}^{+})-[M(B_{c}(2S)^{\ast+})-M(B_{c}(2S)^{+})]\). Additionally, we present a study of \(\Lambda^{0}_{b}\)-baryon excited states, namely, \(\Lambda_{b}(5912)^{0}\), \(\Lambda_{b}(5920)^{0}\), \(\Lambda_{b}(6146)^{0}\), and \(\Lambda_{b}(6152)^{0}\), decaying into \(\Lambda^{0}_{b}\pi^{+}\pi^{-}\). The two analyses are carried out using the data collected in proton-proton collisions at a centre-of-mass energy of 13 TeV by the CMS experiment and corresponding to an integrated luminosity of about 140 fb\({}^{-1}\).
