Abstract

Polymorphic transformations in K0.985Rb0.015NO3 crystals have been investigated by optical microscopy and X-ray diffraction. The equilibrium temperature between modifications II and III (T 0 = 450 K) and the unit-cell parameters of crystals of these modifications are determined. It is established that crystal growth at II ↔ III polymorphic transformations in K0.985Rb0.015NO3 occurs with the formation and growth of daughter-modification nuclei in the matrix crystal.
