Preparation of palladium nanoparticles with desired sizes in aqueous solutions

  • Published:

Abstract

Methods have been developed for obtaining palladium nanoparticles with near-spherical shape and desired and controlled sizes from 2 to 50 nm via reduction of metal ions in aqueous solutions. The influence of sodium polyphosphate and sodium polyacrylate used as stabilizing agents on the sizes and aggregation and sedimentation stability of the particles has been revealed. The dependence of nanoparticle sizes on the initial concentration of palladium(II) ions has been established.
