The Prins Reaction over Heterogeneous Catalysts (a Review)

  • Published:
Petroleum Chemistry Aims and scope Submit manuscript

Abstract

This review considers heterogeneous catalysts for the Prins reaction. The potential of the industrial implementation of processes based on this reaction has been shown. The catalyst properties (textural and acidic) that have the greatest effect on the product composition are discussed. The most promising types of catalysts for preparing unsaturated alcohols and diene hydrocarbons are noted.
