Abstract

SOLEX, a solid extractant for extracting metal chlorides from solutions, has been obtained by impregnating tributyl phosphate (TBP) and iodine into granulated macroporous polystyrene stitched by divinylbenzene. The sorption properties of the product are studied. The possibility of selectively extracting scandium from chloride solutions and its desorption by water are shown. This sorbent can be used for separation from REM. The value of separation coefficients of scandium/REM exceeds 1000.
