Abstract

The effect of nontransition metal and ammonium salts on the salting-out of the pseudocationic ethoxylated surfactant Ethomeen C/15 was studied under polythermal conditions. The most effective salting-out agents were the salts of multiply charged oxygen-containing acids at room temperature and alkali metal chlorides at higher temperatures. The distribution of some organic complexing reagents in Ethomeen C/15–water and NaCl–Ethomeen C/15–water systems at 60°C was studied. The distribution coefficient of the reagents was found to depend on their hydrophilicity and composition of the extraction system.
