Phase and Extraction Equilibria in Water–Alkylbenzyldimethylammonium Chloride–Nitric Acid/Nitrate Systems

Abstract

Phase equilibria in the water–alkyldimethylammonium chloride (catamine AB)–nitric acid/nitrate biphasic systems were studied. The effect of salting-out agents on the phase separation in the systems was considered. The possibility of using the water–catamine AB–NH4NO3 system for liquid extraction was shown using the extraction of metal chloride acidocomplexes from HCl or H2SO4 solutions in this system as an example.
