Abstract

The integral enthalpies of dissolution for polymethylmethacrylate samples obtained via the radical bulk polymerization of methylmethacrylate with and without the participation of chain-transfer agents (disilanes of different structure) are measured by heat-conduction calorimetry at 298.15 K. Different values of polymer enthalpies of dissolution are shown to be due to changes in the spatial packing of polymethylmethacrylate macromolecules during synthesis due to the different structures of disilanes.
