Abstract
New data on the early and middle Miocene ochotonids of the genus Bellatona from the Valley of Lakes, Central Mongolia is based on the rich material collected by the team of the joint Austrian-Mongolian expeditions from the deposits of the Loo Formation. Three taxa: B. forsythmajori Dawson, 1961, B. yanghuensis Zhou, 1988, B. kazakhstanica Erbajeva, 1988 were discovered in the Mongolian fauna. This article presents morphological analysis and descriptions of taxa, comparison with known nominative species and their stratigraphic and geographical distributions.
