Abstract

The influence of diamagnetic substitution on the electronic states of cations and magnetic ordering in CuCr2S4-based solid solutions has been studied by the method of Mossbauer spectroscopy on 57Fe nuclei. It has been found that magnetic dilution of spinel with diamagnetic ions disrupts the connection of 57Fe impurity ions introduced into the crystal lattice with the magnetic structure of the crystal as a whole. Violation of the long-range magnetic order leads to the formation of nanoclusters of various sizes with superparamagnetic properties.
