Abstract

In this paper, a methodology to design algorithms for predicting the aircraft’s braking distance is presented. An efficient predicting algorithm based on the energy approach to aircraft control is developed. A new forecast correction concept is proposed. With this concept, the predicting accuracy is improved, and the degree of confidence in the predicting results is increased. Statistical tests of the algorithms under different runaway conditions and different aircraft configurations are performed. The predicting reliability is proved.
