Abstract

Depression, anxiety, BPD and psychosis can be considered serious psychological disorders. However, although many people may not suffer from one of those issues in their lifetime, it is likely that at some point they will have to battle against cravings to engage in behaviours that have dire consequences for their health. Before moving on to smoking behaviour and eating behaviour, we start with arguably a more destructive psychological problem: substance abuse.
