Abstract

Human nature is such that as we mature, we tend to get into ruts. Organizations consist of people, so it comes as no surprise that they also develop bad habits, become stagnant, stop behaving strategically, and fail to innovate.

“When we look at living creatures from an outward point of view, one of the first things that strikes us is that they are bundles of habits.”

William James (1890)
