Abstract

The author will discuss the Pan-African implications of the black Messiah and African Christologies. He will attend to the recent history of African Christology, beginning with the historic, Pan-African text Des prêtres noirs s’interrogent (DPN). Young’s focus in on the works Engelbert Mveng and Ka Manato(Ka Mana) argue the necessity for a variety of African diasporic Christological expressions as Pan-African symbols of liberation.
