Abstract
This chapter focuses on daily practices of home-making. It offers a close analysis of the material, social, and emotional aspects of home-making practices. In this way, it makes visible the social and emotional investments at the heart of such home-making and highlights the complex ways in which these lifestyle migrants make living in Malaysia and Panama work for them, developing comfort in and familiarising themselves with living in these environments. In this way, it outlines how such migrants learn from their experiences and adapt their behaviours accordingly.
