Abstract
Charles Frohman (1856–1915) was active as a producer in both New York and London and brought many British musical comedies to the United States. In 1896 he was one of the founders of the Theatrical Syndicate, which controlled virtually every aspect of tour contracts and bookings throughout the United States for nearly two decades.
