Abstract
Enid Mary Blyton, one of Britain’s most prolific children’s writers, published approximately six hundred books, the most famous of which are probably her Noddy and Famous Five series, the latter of which is probably her best-known detective fiction for children. Her work has been translated into over one hundred languages, and her most popular series have prompted numerous spin-off books, films, television series and a vast range of merchandise. While her work has incited controversy among adult critics, Blyton remains incredibly popular with child readers.
