Abstract

This paper summarizes the approach to identify the most concerning environmental issues E-commerce companies have. When doing so, a comprehensive framework for considering the complex interplays, such as transport vehicles and emissions generated, single use plastics ban, sustainable packaging alternatives that must be addressed, and to drive requirements for climate change and plastic pollution, was provided. Finally, an attempt has been made to explore any correlation that might exist between environmental and social sustainability with the hiring and retention of employees. In addition to the financial benefits that sustainability practice provides, environmentally friendly business measures, such as energy conservation, recycling, and energy-efficient equipment and reducing waste, have proven to be more efficient and cost-effective than traditional methods, and it was also found that employee retention, productivity, and overall engagement all escalate.
